Can we just skip the teenage years, please?

Boy oh boy do I owe my Mom an apology for ever being a teenager.

My oldest is 14 ... will be 15 in December.   This is what happened last night.

6:30pm I drop Brittney and her friend Whitney off at the YMCA on my way to work.  I was assured that Whitney's dad was going to pick the girls up from the Y and drop Brit off at home when they were done swimming/working out.

9:20pm  I get a page from Brit.   I call her.   She doesn't answer.   I'm annoyed.    Keep passing my meds to try to get out of there on time.

9:30pm  I try to call again.   No answer.   I'm sure she's at home, probably her crappy phone not working properly.   Back to passing meds.

9:45pm  Page from Brit

9:50pm  I call Brit and she answers!   YAY!    She tells me that she is STILL AT THE Y and doesn't have a ride home.   WHAT????     What happened to Whitney's Dad?   Oh guess what .. he's colorblind and won't drive after dark.   I dropped them off at 6:30.   Gets dark at ... oh I don't know ... 7?   Ok, so she tells me she called Brian at 9:20 and he said No, wouldn't pick her up.  He was going to bed.   I'm mad.   I'm at work, can't go get her, can't scream at her and mad that my husband left her stranded.

This girls mom had suggested the 2 14 yr old girls walk from the Y to Arby's (she was there working).   So at 10 o'clock at night ... in the dark ... in the rain these 2 girls are supposed to walk down Calumet Ave alone?   I DON'T THINK SO!!!

I told Brit I would call her right back.   I hang up and call a friend to see if she can run over and pick them up.   Thankfully, she said yes.    I call Brit and tell her she better be waiting at the front door and she had better thank her at least a million times.

So, my friend goes there and guess what?  Whitney REFUSES to get in the car.   UNBELIEVABLE!!   She plans to walk ALONE down Calumet Ave to Arby's.    Changed her mind, of course, after the ride had left.

I hear all this and I'm LIVID!!!!!!     What is this girls problem???

Come to find out .... the girl never really asked her dad if he would pick them up and Brit told Brian that "nevermind, Whitney's uncle is coming to get us:"     So what happened to the Uncle?    I guess he was sleeping and said no.   So Brit never called Brian back to tell him that.    She called me and said he said NO.

I'm sure this is just a preview for what lies ahead...
Why can't they stay small and sweet for just a little bit longer??

Little Helpers

So today I got to meet the handsome little baby Noah Ruge!   What a little sweetheart!    Jessica brought him over for Karma to shoot some pics of him.   My 3 little curious kids (ok, really just Ava and Lily) were trying to "help" set up.   When it came time to test the lighting she asked Lily to assist.    You have to know that Lily does NOT cooperate with me when I try to take her picture.   She turns her head, she runs away or she looks down.   Oh but for Karma she sat there and let her take her picture.   I would be mad, but I am too thrilled to finally get a picture of her!  LOL

So here's some of the shots she took and then also some of Cole so he could model this adorable knit hat her friend made (and will be selling on etsy if anyone is interested in one).

My very first post...

Thank you, Karma for forcing me into a blog!   I have no idea what I'm doing so bear with me  LOL.    I had to post this pic today because I thought it was so funny!   When I picked Ava up from preschool she was sporting this beautiful handmade bowtie!   Could it be any cuter???   She obviously did not want her picture taken, but it was too cute to pass up.. even if she was crying!
Today I got a shipment in from Mary Kay.   I am so torn with what I should do with that stuff.  Do I keep selling it or quit?   Don't know, but they had some new stuff in the new Look book so I ordered it to try out and it is soooo cute!    Love the new eye shadows and the lip gloss Fancy Nancy ~ WAY CUTE!    I will definitely be ordering some more of these!   I have to admit I love the name of it!    My poor UPS guy is probably a little confused because when he was walking up to the door I was shouting "YAY my Fancy Nancy is here!!"

Uh oh .... baby Cole is boo hooing ... got to go   =)
